Go Lambda

Outage handling. Clear updates.

How Go Lambda communicates during major and significant local service outages.

Keeping you informed

When a major or significant local outage affects services, we aim to provide useful information through this website and, where appropriate, direct email or SMS notifications.

Major outages

A major outage is an unexpected telecommunications disruption that prevents customers from connecting or staying connected, lasts or is expected to last more than 60 minutes, and reaches the thresholds set by applicable Australian telecommunications rules.

Significant local outages

A significant local outage is an unplanned disruption that affects a substantial number of services in a defined remote or regional area for the time periods set by applicable rules.

How we communicate

Where required, updates will describe affected locations and services, the known or suspected cause where it is safe to share, an estimated restoration timeframe, and when the next update is expected. For prolonged events, we aim to update at least every six hours during the first 24 hours and daily after that until resolution.
